Your privacy is the foundation of veilgpt. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to collecting the absolute minimum data necessary to operate the Service.

2. What We Collect

Conversations: Your chat messages are processed in real-time by the AI model and are not stored on our servers. Conversations are saved only in your browser's local storage and are under your control.

Anonymous ID: A random identifier generated by your browser is used solely for rate limiting. It cannot be traced back to you.

Account Data: If you create an account, we store your email address and payment information (processed securely via Stripe).

Usage Data: Aggregate, non-identifiable metrics (e.g., request volume) may be collected for operational monitoring.

3. What We Do NOT Do

• We do NOT log or store your conversations
• We do NOT train AI models on your data
• We do NOT share, sell, or rent your personal information
• We do NOT use tracking cookies or fingerprinting
• We do NOT read your messages

4. Data Storage

Conversations are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Clearing your browser data or using a different device removes access to prior conversations. Account information is stored securely on our infrastructure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. We do not receive or store full payment card details.

6. Data Retention

Conversation data: stored only on your device. Account data: retained until you delete your account. Anonymous IDs: retained temporarily for rate limiting.

7. Your Rights

You can delete your conversations at any time by clearing your browser data. You can delete your account and associated data by contacting us. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
